Google probably does the most unexpected. The company has teased the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphones Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in the country.
A teaser that has appeared on Flipkart shows off both upcoming phones and says, “Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are on deck. Coming soon.” However, the banner appears to have been removed, but not before a pair of sharp eyes noticed.

The two phones along with the Pixel Smartwatch are slated to be launched worldwide on October 6 and if we are to believe the rumor mill, we could also see a new speaker or smart display announced.
Pixel 7 Series India Launch Date
If you look at the old launches, Google has always delayed availability in India. While the Pixel 4, 5 and 6 series never arrived in India, the Pixel 4A and Pixel 6A saw a delayed release.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal a date at this point, the fact that it came out ahead of the global launch suggests that the company could be making them available in India in addition to the other markets. The phones will reportedly for pre-orders exactly on the day they are announced.
Also, looking at the upcoming holiday season and holiday sales, the possibility of the phones being sold in India alongside global markets cannot be ruled out either, although this could be a first for Google.
Price Pixel 7 Series in India
As of now, we have absolutely no information about the prices of the two phones. However, reports indicate that the Pixel 7 series is expected to be similar to the Pixel 6 lineup. This means that the Pixel 7 could start at $599, while the Pixel 7 Pro could cost $899 at launch.
This translates to Rs. 47,880 and Rs. 71,845 respectively. While we have to factor in taxes and exchange rates, you can expect the phones to be much more expensive if you look at Google’s pricing strategy in India.
Therefore, you can expect the Pixel 7 to be closer to Rs. 65,000 and the Pixel 7 Pro could start near Rs. 90,000 easily, making them compete with the Galaxy S22 series and the iPhone 14 series.
Even the Pixel 6A is exorbitantly priced in India. The supposedly affordable Pixel 6A was officially launched for Rs. 43,999, even though it costs $449 in the US. The retail price of Pixel 6a has fallen to Rs. 27,669 during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, although this may only be a temporary discount.
