Apple iPhone 14 could pack memory from a Chinese company you’ve never heard of

Apple has reportedly signed a deal with Chinese memory manufacturer Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp. (YMTC), with a view to implementing the company’s 3D NAND flash in the iPhone 14.

Historically, Apple has relied on flash memory from the likes of Samsung, Kioxia, and sk Hynix, but a report from Business Korea (opens in new tab) suggests that YMTC will be added to the list.
