Amazon plans to launch a new version of its multi-channel shipping software Veeqo, which it says should save e-commerce businesses a lot of money.
Veeqo integrates with users’ sales channels, including Amazon, as well as third-party channels such as eBay, Etsy, and Shopify, to provide access to discounted rates on services such as UPS, US Postal Service, DHL, and FedEx.
In addition, Veeqo’s rate-shopping feature automatically finds the lowest shipping rate available for merchant orders based on size and weight.
How much is it?
Veeqo is now free under Amazon’s leadership and previously cost $450 per month before being bought for an undisclosed amount in early 2022.
Sellers who ship through Veeqo only pay for their carrier labels, with no additional monthly fees.
Led by Amazon, Veeqo users will also get a host of new features, including a full inventory management solution, which will allow for tracking and counting of inventory across multiple locations.
Users also get new reporting and forecasting features, which allow sellers to make inventory decisions using data such as inventory performance, historical inventory, and other financial information.
Veeqo is now available to Amazon sellers in the US, with early access to the new features available ahead of the full launch of the new features later this year.
Existing sellers in the UK will get free access to Veeqo’s legacy product starting today, followed by a full launch of the new features in the UK.
The news comes as Amazon’s retail business in the UK is expanding at a pace that could make it one of the largest private sector employers in the UK, joining John Lewis and Alliance Boots, and exceed the number of employees of the British army.
Amazon recently announced that it will create 4,000 new permanent jobs in the UK as part of a significant employment campaign, with a significant number in warehouses in London and Manchester.
